Honus of Kukaua (Big Island)

As the waves hit heights (several beach closures and high surf alerts), we headed to Kukio to see turtles nesting and feeding. Video coming soon!

Swim with Dolphins

Aloha!
We swam with dolphins and one of them was named "Makana." He was six years old. The dolphin felt soft and Makana's belly was pink. There are 13 dolphins at the Waikoloa -- 7 of them are girls. The oldest dolphin is named "Eva" and she's 38. The biggest dolphin there weighs 400 lbs. All of the dolphins are bottle-nosed dolphins. We swam and then had ice cream. Later that night I got stitches (four) in my head but not from the dolphin swim. I am doing very well.
Love, Makana

Climbing the Diamond

Hi class!
On Friday (New Year's Day), we climbed Diamond Head. It is a dead volcano. We also climbed 168 steps all the way to the top. We saw a helicopter rescue a man who passed out on the climb. He was OK. We also went to sushi and shave ice. Yum did that taste so good! Aloha, Ke'ale
